By way of a resolution adopted on January 21, 2019, the Mayor and Council of the Township of Belleville officially established the Municipal Green Team for the purpose of pursuing Sustainable Jersey certification, funding and furthering sustainability in the Township of Belleville. The Green Team is facilitating a number of projects that align with Sustainable Jersey’s mission.

The overall goal of the Green Team’s Sustainability Plan is to identify and implement projects that will benefit the community and encourage the town, home and business owners to invest in sustainable practices. This is accomplished through outreach and education, and recommending and initiating practices and programs.
