Be advised that the N.J. State D.O.T. will resume construction at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Mill Street starting Friday, August 22, 2025 at 5:00 P.M.  The construction crews will be working around the clock until the work is completed which will be sometime Sunday morning.  One Northbound lane and one Southbound lane of Washington Avenue will be open in the work zone at Washington Avenue and Mill Street.  Mill Street between Washington Avenue and Cortlandt Street will be closed.  Westbound Mill Street traffic will be detoured North on Cortlandt Street and then West on William Street to Washington Avenue.  Buses and trucks will be detoured West on Belleville Avenue.  Please avoid the area and plan an alternate route.
