Essex County is proud to support humane, effective, and free services to help manage feral and community cat populations through the Community Cats TNVR Program.
What is TNVR?
In a TNVR (Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return) program, cats are:
- Humanely trapped
- Spayed or neutered
- Vaccinated
- Returned to their home territory
This helps reduce overpopulation, minimizes nuisance behaviors (like spraying and yowling), and protects public health. Itโs safer for the cats and for the community!
๐ ๏ธ Services Provided FREE of Charge:
- Free training
- Free traps
- Free cat food
- Free spay/neuter procedures
