MARK YOUR CALENDERS! The Belleville Police Department and the NJ State Legislative District 34, under the direction of the New Jersey Attorney General and the Division of Consumer Affairs, are hosting this informational outreach session on fraud prevention to educate our local community. This program is available in English and Spanish and is aimed at teaching residents how to be proactive against consumer scam artists. These presentations touch on IRS phone scams, lottery scams, grandparent scams, identity theft, phone call and email scams, and door to door scams all which tend to target the more vulnerable senior population.
