Public Hearing: Improvements to Belleville Municipal Stadium
Posted January 03, 2024The Township of Belleville is seeking funding through the State of NJ Green Acres Program for improvements to the Belleville Municipal Stadium at 100 Passaic Avenue, Belleville, NJ 07109.
The Township proposes improvements at Belleville Municipal Stadium: repairs and reconstruction of concrete stands, and improvements to facilities such as bathrooms and concessions stands. The engineers are currently finalizing the drawings, the plans will be posted as soon as available. A concept plan showing the proposed changes, a preliminary cost estimate, and an environmental impact assessment for the project can be found at www.bellevillenj.org.
The public is encouraged to attend a public hearing to learn more about the proposal and to ask questions or provide comments on the proposed plan on January 23, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held In Person as part of the regularly scheduled council meeting. Project Goals and Objectives
The Township of Belleville intends to renovate its existing Municipal Grandstand through the use of a combination of Municipal funds and funds obtained through the State Green Acres Grant Program. Some of the Improvements currently being considered consist of ADA-accessible bathrooms, structural renovations to the existing Grandstand , and the installation of new Offices for the Municipal Recreation Department.
