Former Belleville Mayor Raymond Kimble was a graduate of Belleville High School and William Paterson University, and served in the U.S. Army before joining the Belleville Police Department in 1964, where he stayed until his retirement in 1997.  He served as Chief, Township Manager and Public Safety Director before being elected Mayor in 2006.  He would serve three terms as Mayor.
