The COVID-19 pandemic has brought to our community unprecedented challenges which are requiring the tremendous efforts of Clara Maass Medical Center and the entire healthcare community.

Providing the utmost safety for our patients and staff is our highest priority.  We are making every effort to be as responsive to our patients’ families and our communities without compromising the safety of our patients and employees.  To this end, we have established new visitation guidelines to ensure the safest possible environment. The new guidelines are available on our website at rwjbh.org/claramaass.

For those whose family member or loved one is an inpatient at Clara Maass Medical Center, we strongly encourage that one individual in each family is identified and authorized to serve as a primary point of contact with whom our team can speak to provide daily status updates on the patient’s condition.

Alternatively, our Patient Information Office can be reached at (973) 450-2300 and is able to provide assistance in receiving general updates to those who have been authorized by the patient or the patient’s family.

For families that wish to send get well wishes, an option to send an e-card will be available on our website so that families can easily send a message or card to any patient from their smartphone or desktop. E-cards will be printed and delivered directly to the patient’s bedside. In addition, we have received some requests for small items, such as phone chargers, which we are making available to every patient.
